NEW PATTERN || Tube Socks for Kids

I've been working on a fun little pattern for spring!

I knit my daughter a pair of self-striping rainbow socks. She loved them dearly but grew out of them quickly. Although her foot had outgrown the heel, the socks still fit perfectly around her foot and leg. I decided that her next pair of socks would be tube socks, no heel to grow out of so that she could wear them longer, and a much faster knit for me with no heel to turn!

These socks knit up super fast and are really fun -- perfect for gift knitting! I've even included a teeny tiny newborn size so you can knit up a pair the night before a baby shower!

...and the best part? The pattern is FREE!

...and just a reminder, tomorrow is the last day of the 3 for 2 sale!!!

  2. those socks are so adorable, and so is your daughter! I adore that colourway you've used for the socks, with the butter yellow toes and cuffs! I wish that Knitpicks would restock their Felici colourways, they don't have any new ones up there, and it's a bit alarming.

  5. Thank you for this, just what I needed! My brain is too tired to handle turning a heel after weeks packed with farm work and gardening... But my girlies need socks so perfect timing!

I can't wait to knit some baby socks for some family and friends having babies. Is the tiny newborn size the very first size listed? Thanks Julie

    1. Yes the first size is intended to fit a newborn and it does just that -- it's the only size that really just fits while they are newborn but it's fun and fast to knit and teeny tiny baby socks are SO adorable to gift :)

  7. So looking forward to doing these! Just curious, do you knit your socks one at a time or do them both at once? Contemplating on doing two at once. Never done it before!

  8. Thank you to you for sharing this pattern. My grand daughters will surely love them! I just learn to make toe-up and got familiar with Sweet Georgia yarn( that I purchase on line...I live in the Gaspé Coast) I also bought Journey that I found through Miso Craft knit blog. I enjoy knitting with beautiful pattern and colors! Again, bravo for inspiring work. Isabelle
